Three blurred blobs hung off the SAME point, and the third one is BLACK. Two warm blobs alone give a flat blown out centre; laying a black radial over them at 70 percent burns a hole in the light exactly where the eye lands first, and that is what reads as smoke. Over it, a two by two grid whose 1px borders are the only hard geometry in the piece.
