Indexed palette sprite
A sprite is a character grid plus a palette, and the whole thing draws with ONE node: every lit pixel is a hard box-shadow of the same square, zero blur and zero spread, offset to its position. Two hundred and fifty six divs do the same job and cost two hundred and fifty five extra nodes. The scale must be a whole number or seams appear between the shadows.
